Il primo.

Ciao tutti da Italia!
I've been trying to get myself to start this blog since I arrived here almost three weeks ago, and finally decided to just post a ton of the pictures I've taken so far, and hopefully keep up with actually posting from here on out (now that I have internet in my apartment!)
Buona vista e cordiali saluti!Il centro storico della citta'. The historic center of Ferrara:Universita' degli studi di Ferrara. This is the Facolta' where I take most of my classes:Il duomo, la cattedrale di Ferrara:Una bella passegiata sulle mura. A lovely walk on top of the ancient walls of the city: Il festival delle mongolfiere. The balloon festival. I think I got a little carried away with these pictures...Most of the festival was similar to a fair or a carnival in the US. Cotton candy and everythingAntonio, an Italian student and intern with the Middlebury program. He's alway around to show us the ins and outs of the university and the city. And to jump in the way of photos...Eccola! La coppa del mondo-the world cup!Maybe my favorite piazza here in Ferrara. On weekends there are often big concerts and shows held here, and since arriving I've seen maybe three weddings take place on those stairs.Via Cassoli, my street:Il balcone del mio appartamento:Il giardino, the garden in the courtyard behind my apartment:The view from my room: Plenty more (and better) photos to come of Ferrara and beyond.
Buona serata e tanti saluti
